It’s been a crazy few weeks around here, and I feel like I have seventeen piles of half-finished projects. I have to keep reminding myself that just hitting “The End,” even if it’s a story still full of swiss cheese holes or a journal design that I need to go back and tweak is better than half-finished and sitting on my hard drive.
I usually have to stop and ask myself, “If I were giving advice to a friend, would I tell her to be this hard on herself?” The answer in short is, of course, HECK NO. I’d tell her to give herself some grace, do what she could, finish it to the best of her abilities, and come back to fix it later if she decides that it really needs fixing. (And half the time, my guess is that “good enough” really and truly is just that. GOOD. ENOUGH.)
Okay. Friday rant over. Go forth and have a nice weekend, my lovelies. <3
XOXO,
Karen
P.S. Case in point. I hit publish on this, then had to go back and fix a parenthesis that wasn’t closed. And my guess is that no one would have noticed if I hadn’t even closed that silly parenthesis. lol
